Something I've been thinking about with Web3 PR is that most crypto projects already know how to reach crypto-native readers.

The harder part can be getting in front of people who aren't spending their day on crypto Twitter or crypto-specific publications — founders, business operators, investors, technology professionals, and potential partners.

That's where a press release on Business Insider caught my attention. Business Insider isn't a crypto publication, so the audience is quite different from something like CoinDesk or Decrypt.

I was comparing distribution options and found Web3 Newswire's Business Insider placement. The regular price is $400, while Web3 Newswire currently offers it for $350.

I wouldn't expect a press release alone to generate customers, though. I'd see it more as one piece of a broader credibility campaign, especially when a company has something substantial to announce.

For a Web3 startup, I'm curious what others think: is getting visibility outside crypto-specific media actually useful for building credibility with mainstream business audiences, or is it better to stay focused on crypto publications?

I've noticed that Web3 projects sometimes use the same communication style for every announcement.

But an ecosystem update seems different from a simple product launch.

A product announcement explains one thing being released. An ecosystem update can cover multiple developments that collectively show how the network or community is evolving.

That means the story should probably focus on the bigger picture rather than one individual feature.

An ecosystem update press release can be useful when several connected milestones need to be communicated together.

Do you think projects should separate ecosystem updates from ordinary product announcements?
