I've been looking at a 2015 V8 Vantage for a while now and I'm getting close to making an offer, but I keep going back and forth because I'm genuinely not sure if I can handle the running costs long term. I've owned German cars before and I know what to expect with those, but Aston Martins are a whole different level of exotic and I'm worried that even routine maintenance is going to be eye-wateringly expensive. I've been reading forums and watching videos trying to get a sense of what typical servicing costs look like, but I keep getting conflicting information, some people say it's not that bad if you find a good independent specialist, others say you need to be prepared to spend five figures a year just on basic upkeep. The car I'm looking at has about 45,000 kilometers on it and seems to have been well looked after, but I know at that mileage there are certain things that might need attention like the clutch or the suspension bushes. I'm not the kind of person who can just write blank cheques for car maintenance, so I want to go into this with my eyes wide open and a realistic budget in mind. I've been trying to find a workshop that offers certified Aston Martin repair in Abu Dhabi because I figure if they have the proper training and experience, they'll be able to give me honest advice about what to expect and maybe even do a pre-purchase inspection to catch any potential issues before I commit. If anyone here has owned one of these for a few years, I'd really appreciate a breakdown of what you actually spend annually on maintenance and whether you've found any ways to keep costs reasonable without compromising on quality.
